BeComE Workshop 3 and 4 September 2020

On September 3 and 4, 2020, the BeCoME team met online for the second workshop. During two intense days led by the Principal Investigator, Urve Venesaar, the partners came together to update the work developed so far and discuss the next steps. The TAU TalTech team led this workshop.

On the first day, we discussed the results of the diagnostic stage about the entrepreneurial competencies of students and employees. All partners presented a summary of the results based on their own country data, analyzing the assessment of students and employees. Overall, the survey results showed some consistency between countries, but also some differences pointing to national specificities. We also discussed activities and strategies on how to improve entrepreneurship education in universities. Sonja Niiranen, from TAU, joined us to share her practical experience about the pedagogical training for teachers training in entrepreneurship.

On the second day, partners from the enterprises also joined the workshop, and we discussed the results on employees’ experiences of entrepreneurship competencies and workplaces as learning environments. We also took some time to discuss the impacts of COVID-19 and how startups are pivoting their strategies amid the pandemic.

The next workshop will be in January, led by the ISCTE-IUL team.
