The aim was to investigate working environments as learning environments and to identify the characteristics that support professional development and learning including learning entrepreneurship competencies. The overall approach is to design the ways to make working environments to efficiently support the development of entrepreneurship competence of employees in the company based on needs analysis and theoretical concepts.
The preliminary results of the survey showed gaps between the university students’ and employees’ perceptions of their entrepreneurship competence. The level of entrepreneurship competence of employees may be affected by whether the workplace environment is supporting the development of employees’ competencies.
The survey also measured the employees’ experiences of their workplaces as learning environments.
